  • Jan. 6- New Year, New Me (Set a New Year’s resolution that helps our planet.)

    Feb. 3- Spread Aloha Not Plastic (Show Aloha whenever you can while reducing the use and spread of plastics.)

    Mar. 23- Earth Hour (Join the worldwide movement organized by WWF, encouraging everyone to turn off their lights for one hour 830pm - 930pm)

    Apr. 20- Trash to Treasure (Create art that tells a message with our Trash to Treasure chests.)

    May 4- Support Local with Raised by the Waves! (Showcase RBTW, clean eating, and maintaining a healthy balance between life and our home. )

    June 1- World Reef Day with The Giving Gifts (Learn about our reef and why it is important to preserve it.)

    June 8- World Oceans Day (Join us for a short back-to-back cleanup from 10am-12pm, as we celebrate our Ocean today.)

    July 6- Plastic Free (July is plastic-free month and we challenge you to find items you can replace with eco-friendly choices.)

    Aug. 3- Upcycled Jewelry with Mindful Metals Studio (Learn about how you can turn your beach finds into cool jewelry! Or check out the shop for great gift options.)

    Sep. 7- Clean Air (Learn how our planet makes clean air and why our reefs are so important.)

    Oct. 4- World Animal Day (Let’s talk about all the cool animals that inhabit our oceans and beaches.)

    Nov. 9- Give Thanks (Our ocean has always provided for us, now it’s time to give thanks and give back.)

    Dec. 7- Improve Your World (End the year off strong by improving our home.)

KAHUKU GOLF COURSE BEACH IS ONE OF THE WORST COASTLINES FOR MICRO PLASTICS ON O’AHU, LOCATED JUST BEYOND THE CAFE DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM KAHUKU HIGH SCHOOL.

HYDRATION STATION + LIGHT REFRESHMENTS

bring your own reusable water bottle to refill at the be better hawai’i hydration shade station AT OUR CLEANUP SITE. we will be provide light refreshments along with a discount for volunteers to enjoy lunch at the cafe at kahuku sugar mill.
